If the problem seems too daunting, widen the scope of possible methods for solving it, thinking outside of what is immediately, and easily accomplishable, and considering solutions that may involve a search for resources, a sustained effort, solving problems that may not directly resolve the big issue, but indirectly, taken all together, create a path to the necessary destination, which all in toto requires being able to visualize the desired state of things after the problem is solved, and patiently, pragmatically bushwhacking your way through the obstacle course to the final destination. Also, as an operational nota bene, it requires for the bigger questions in life, both an awareness and existential acceptance of the delayed gratification model inherent in the problem-solving process.
